About Us
Our Purpose
The purpose of this church is to teach the Word of God for the edification of Christians, the salvation of souls, the world-wide proclamation of God’s saving grace expressed in the shed blood and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary, and the promotion of the unity of believers.
Our Doctrinal Basis
-
We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration and inerrancy of the original writings of the Old and New Testament and thus, they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (John 17:17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
-
We believe in one sovereign God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who is working all things after the counsel of His own will. Therefore, it is fitting that He be worshiped, honored and glorified. (Matthew 28:19-20; John 1:1-2; Acts 5:3-4; Colossians 1:17; 2:9; Jude 4)
-
We believe that Jesus Christ was eternally begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is the true God and true man. (Matthew 1:22-23; Luke 1:35; Romans 9:5; Philippians 2:6-11; Colossians 1:15-17)
-
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death; and that all human beings, except for Jesus Christ alone, are born with a sinful nature, are totally depraved, subject to the wrath of God, and need to be born again. (Genesis 1-3; John 3:3-7; Romans 1:21-32; 1 Peter 2:21-22)
-
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world according to the Scriptures, as a substitutionary sacrifice, that His crucified body was raised from the dead, and that He ascended into Heaven to appear before the Father as our High Priest, Advocate, and Mediator. (John 3:16; 6:37; 10:27-30; 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:14; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 4:14-15; 7:27; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 John 2:1-2)
-
We believe that man can only be born again by grace through faith in the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ and thereby becomes a child of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit. At the moment of salvation, he is secure unto the day of redemption. (Romans 8:30; Ephesians 1:13-14, 2:8-9)
-
We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ began at Pentecost through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, is composed of believers only, is the Body and the Bride of our Lord, and is distinct from Israel. (Matthew 16:16-18; John 3:27-30; Romans 11:13-27; Acts 2; 1 Corinthians 1:2; 12:27; Revelation 21:9)
